Your HSBC Direct Online CD will automatically renew to an HSBC Direct Online CD of same term at the then current interest rate and APY at the time of maturity. Your options include transferring your HSBC Direct Online CD balance to an exisiting HSBC Direct account or opening a new one.

You can change the term of your existing CD during the grace period to your new desired CD term. However, an additional CD will need to be opened with the new money for the desired CD term.

You can transfer money at maturity or during the grace period in Personal Internet Banking, either by instantly transferring money to your other HSBC accounts, or by using Bank to Bank Transfers to transfer to external bank accounts.
