Before we can open and fund your new account, we need to verify the ownership of the account used for funding. To do that, we will make two small deposits into that account. A withdrawal for the total amount of the two deposits will also be made from the same account.

Once those deposits are made, log into your funding account (or call your financial institution) to get the exact amount of each. Be sure to write the amounts down for reference. The description for each deposit will say TRIALCREDT.

The last step is to confirm these amounts in your saved application. Log on to .

If the amounts you enter match the deposit amounts made, account ownership is verified and your new HSBC Direct account will be funded. If the amounts entered do not match, you'll need to send a check to fund your new account.
